Show and tell more

  1. My experience so far in photography has been limited, and mostly during the class I took TRI 1. Some things i've done are
  2. Multiplicity

  3. Framing
  4. Leading lines of symmetry

  5. Shadow light and reflection

  1.  Ive been most interested in taking pictures on the water front, specifically ones that have a symmetrical aspect to them, or are just nice to look at in general.

  1.  Im interested in Juergen Roth's photography work most right now, because he takes types of pictures that I would like to take.Portland Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse And Fort Gorges Print by Juergen RothCape Cod
  2. He takes pictures on the water a lot, specifically on the cape or in Maine.

  1. I hope to achieve a more creative and artistic mindset during this class, and take better photos than I did last class (photo 1). I also hope to become more aware of the different elements that play into a good picture/make a picture cool to look at.

I really like the colors in these photo's, as well as the beach/ocean aspect of them. I thought the reflection of the sky on the water was really nice and id like to take some pictures like that.

    5. I think a snapshot almost captures time and what is happening in the moment, while art photography is open to interpretation and almost has a deeper meaning.
This is an example of a snapshot photo, that is essentially just showing what the kids are doing, and there's not much else to it.
And then this is art photography, and in this particular image it almost makes you feel emotions like sad or scared, but very open to interpretation.

Another snapshot photo of a little boy, kind of just showing what is happening in this moment.

A theme i've noticed in a lot of the art photographs i've seen, is that the filter on a lot of them are darker/grey. I thought this picture was cool but a little bitt odd, because of the scarf on the persons face.
